How to Make a Green Juice with a Blender and a Sprout Bag

Here’s a short video of me making a yummy green juice without a juicer. Juicing without a juicer is easy! If you don’t own a juicer you can still make delicious juices as long as you have a powerful blender such as a Vitamix and a trusty sprout bag.
My body has been craving juices lately, perhaps it’s wanting to cleanse to get ready for Spring. I also was inspired by Daniel Vitalis’ talk at Monday Night Live about eating dandelion greens. Enjoy!

I try to eat mostly raw and to exercise. I take time to relax and enjoy life. And in the summer I spend lots of time outdoors in my vegetable garden.
Thank you so much for this! I was just commenting to someone yesterday, whilst motioning to it, how I didn't use my juicer because it's so difficult to clean. Now I can juice in a way that fits my present lifestyle (I always rinse my blender out right after using it.)
Relaxing and enjoying life is really important and, you are so right, working in a vegetable garden is so healing- Cecilia
Hi Emmelle,
I'm glad I could help and thanks for commenting!

I have been learning about the Raw life and have recently made the transition. It's joyful and inspiring to read and learn about being healthier by being raw. I exercise by walking and yoga because I have joint and knee problems, this is the best I am able to do. I am hoping that after a time, my body will respond to my new raw life and reduce or eliminate the pain completely and then I will dance again. Thank you for your website and inspiring blogs!
For me, the following are a must in my daily routine: running, yoga, as much raw food as possible, and of course laughing every chance I get
Now if only I could afford a Vitamix!

I rejoined my gym in December and workout with weights in the a.m. and cardio at night. I'm a vegan and am trying to watch portion control. And, I'm trying to be a good healthy role model for my children.
I've made exercise work for my lifestyle which was I thought was going to be way more diffiicult than it turned out to be. Every workday, I take a lunchbreak *away* from the desk and find a private place to workout. Every other day, I walk my dogs, and to include some strength exercises I use my giant water bottle as a weight to do some bicep curls or something. At the top of the hill the dogs nap, while I stretch. Increasing my raw kale intake never hurts! Kale is the miracle food of the day!
Hi Iceblueeyes,
I hope you can dance again too! I used to dance and I miss it so much hope to find the time to take lessons again.

Hi JillPE,
Yoga seems to be a common thread, laughing is a must. I like to watch America's Funniest Home videos and laugh for a half hour straight! You might want to look for a used Vitamix on craig's list or ebay they seem to last a very long time!
Best Wishes,
Cecilia
That's awesome that you are finding the time to work out, you will be an inspiration to your children.

Thank you! I'm trying to be. And, thanks for posting such healthy recipes.
Thank you for offering this video ~ Just starting to learn about the raw living life and stumbled upon your site. Can't wait to try out this juice tomorrow, along with other recipes you have offered! Love the fact that my Vita-Mix will now get to participate in more than just my morning smoothie. Also, Mahalo for mentioning the bag ~ I was wondering what the best way to remove the pulp for certain juices would be… now, my next step is learning what to do with the pulp. Aloha, Adaire
Hi Adaire,
Thanks for stopping by. There are a lot of uses for the juice pulp such as raw cookies, crackers, pates, cakes . . .Good luck:)
